Percussion

Percussion in a brass band can cover a lot of instruments including:

  • snare drum
  • bass drum
  • full drum set including various cymbals
  • miscellaneous percussion played with the palm of your hand such as bongos
  • marimba and other keyboards
  • timpani (usually played in sets of 2)
  • tambourine, maracas and other hand shaken devices
  • wood blocks, triangles, cymbals
  • many types of bells
