We have a list server for mailing newsletters to Saskatoon Brass Band members. If are a band member and you want to participate, email me at mail { at } rickcarlson.com (replace the brackets with @). Make sure you tell me what email address to use in case you are sending it from work and don't want band emails to go there. If you want off the list, email me and tell me to remove your name.

Sending Emails to Members

If you want to send an email to all Saskatoon Brass Band members, you can send it to brass { at } rickcarlson.com. Make sure you send it from the email address that you have registered with the band. If you send it from any other address it will be ignored. That protects us from spammers. Attachments should be reasonable in size or the system will ignore the email without telling you. You will know it worked because you'll get an email yourself. Be patient. It takes the server about 2-5 minutes to process everything.

Remember that if your email doesn't go through it's highly unlikely the system has a problem. It's most likely one of these reasons:

You typed the email address wrong. Check it above.

You are sending the email from an address other than the one entered on the list server. You need to send it from that email address. Read the paragraph above again if this doesn't make sense.

Your file size is too big. Publishing programs typically create giagantic files. They are often 6-8 MB in size. They are not really meant for emailing and most people don't have the same program so they won't be able to open it anyway. Convert to jpeg, gif, png, tiff or pdf first and then try again.
